Warning sirens operated under the Public Security Directorate (PSD) / Civil Defence: a sequence of three intermittent sirens means an active or imminent threat; a single continuous tone is the all-clear. On hearing the warning: stop moving immediately; if indoors, stay inside, away from windows and exposed glass, and gather near reinforced concrete stairwells or internal load-bearing structures; if outdoors, take refuge at once in the nearest structurally sound building. Stay until the all-clear. Never approach, touch or try to dismantle fallen debris (missile parts, drones); keep well away and report it to 911.^[1]

Sığınaklar ve sivil savunma

When the three-siren warning sounds, shelter where you are: indoors near reinforced concrete stairwells or internal load-bearing structures, away from windows; outdoors, in the nearest structurally sound building. In June 2025 the National Center for Security and Crisis Management said shelter centres equipped with food and medical supplies could host tens of thousands of people, and advised people during emergencies to stay at their workplaces or pull over by the roadside, away from walls, until the warning phase passes.^[1]^[2]
