Guía oficial: NDMA Earthquake Guidelines 2026 National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) – Guidelines

Conviene saber

• Pakistan's NDMA guidance is about natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, heatwaves and others), not war.
• NDMA does not give a number of days to be ready or an amount of water to store. It advises keeping an emergency kit with water, food, medicines, documents, first aid, a torch, batteries and a radio.
• Rescue 1122 numbers were verified for Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; check your provincial service if you live elsewhere.

Cómo recibirás las alertas

NDMA issues early warnings and advisories through its official mobile app (Global Disaster Early Warning Application, on Google Play) (enable notifications and location for local warnings). During the 2025 monsoon, NDMA also sent location-based SMS warnings with mobile operator Jazz to people in high-risk areas. Follow NDMA, your provincial PDMA, TV and radio for updates.^[1]^[4]^[9]

Refugios y protección civil

In floods, evacuate to higher ground immediately if advised by authorities, and do not walk or drive through floodwater. In earthquakes, keep heavy furniture anchored and an emergency kit within easy reach; if trapped, tap on a pipe or wall or use a whistle so rescuers can find you.^[1]^[2] Más
