须知

• Bahrain has not published a household stockpiling guide (days of supplies or litres of water) that we could find.
• When you hear a siren or get a 'National Emergency Alert' on your phone, stay calm, go to the nearest safe place indoors and follow only official sources (Ministry of Interior, official radio and TV).
• Keep your phone's software up to date so you receive emergency alerts. Call 999 in an emergency.

你会如何收到警报

Bahrain has a national network of warning sirens and a phone alert system. Sirens sound only when there is a direct threat to places inside Bahrain. The first siren means go indoors, keep away from open areas and wait for official updates; a second siren means the danger is over. Phone alerts are sent by cell broadcast and show up on their own as a 'National Emergency Alert' (تحذير طارئ وطني) with a loud tone and vibration. iPhone users were asked to update to iOS 26.2 or later to receive alerts reliably; Android and Huawei phones need no action. Since 2 April 2026, alerts sent between midnight and 6 am use only a normal notification tone that follows your phone's sound settings (a silent phone only vibrates). Follow updates only through official channels, including official radio and TV.^[1]^[3]^[4]^[5]^[6]^[7]^[11]

避难场所与民防

When the siren sounds, the Ministry of Interior asks citizens and residents to stay calm and go to the nearest safe place, then follow the news through official channels. If you are driving: keep to the speed limit, drive carefully, clear the left lane, keep moving and make way for civil defence, ambulances and police, then shelter in the nearest building or another safe, enclosed place until the danger has passed. Civil Defence has 33 emergency shelters that are opened when needed; the authorities announce which shelters are open. In a radiation emergency: go indoors, close all doors, windows and other openings, and stay inside for at least 24 hours or until told it is safe. Children should stay at school.^[2]^[3]^[8]^[9]^[10]
