- Iodine tablets (jodiumtabletten) — Only take them on government advice, which comes via NL-Alert and the regional public broadcaster on the radio (rampenzender). They are not needed in every nuclear accident, only if a cloud with too much radioactive iodine comes near you; the government will then advise people in a specific area to take them.[7]
خوب است بدانید
- • The government booklet was sent to every household (delivered by 10 January 2026). It explains that the chance of an emergency or war is growing, and covers power cuts, cyber attacks, floods and disruption of food or drinking-water supply.
- • Preparing takes three steps: make an emergency kit, make an emergency plan, and talk to and help each other.
- • Store water in a cool, dark place (e.g. cellar, shed or hall cupboard). Check your kit every six months.
- • The booklet is also available in other languages (including English) at denkvooruit.nl/vertalingen, in Dutch Sign Language and in easy-read Dutch.
- • Use reliable sources only: rijksoverheid.nl, your municipality and your safety region (veiligheidsregio).
